Jennifer Aniston, 50, says she is ‘just about to really bloom’

Jennifer Aniston reveals she has been in a secret ‘goddess circle’ for decades as she talks ‘blooming at 50’ opposite Reese Witherspoon in The Morning Show

Jennifer Aniston had a lot on her mind when she turned 50-years-old this year.

So the cover girl gathered her longtime friends and they sat in a ‘goddess circle’ to bless her new life. The Friends vet told The New York Times they passed around a stick decorated with feathers and charms then blessed each other. The group of pals have been doing it for decades.

But the ex-wife of Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux feels good about the future. ‘I’m entering into what I feel is one of the most creatively fulfilling periods of my life,’ she said. ‘Seriously I’ve been doing this for 30 years and I feel like it’s just about to really bloom.’

A new frontier: The Friends vet told the Times they passed around a stick decorated with feathers and charms then blessed each other. The group of pals have been doing it for decades. Here she is seen in a new The Morning Show promo photo shared Tuesday by Apple+

The Goddess Circle was termed by mystic C. Ara Campbell.

According to the Goddess Circle website, Campbell is a acilitator and creatrix of The Inner Priestess Awakening Online Journey, the Relationship Empowerment & Sacred Love Program & author of The Astro Forecast.’

It was added, ‘The Goddess Circle is dedicated to reclaiming the powerful feminine energy found within and surrounding us all; to embodying and living your truth and your highest purpose. It is dedicated to empowering all beings on the path to sovereignty; to awakening to your medicine and gifts, inspiring creativity, and to moving towards sacred unity in this world.’

Her posse pack is pretty: Kristin Hahn, left, is one of her closest friends; seen in December. Andrea Bendewald, seen here on her TV show Suddenly Susan, is also a close pal

She also said of turning 50: ‘It’s so weird. There’s so much doom around that number.’

And the Murder Mystery actress also touched on her longevity in Hollywood.

‘It’s taken time for me to get where I am and I put a lot of work into my craft,’ Aniston said. ‘I’ve failed. I’ve succeeded. I’ve overcome. I’ve, you know, I’ve stayed around. I’m still here.’

Aniston talked to the newspaper to support her first TV show in 15 years, The Morning Show, which will debut on Apple+ on November 1.

The beachy beauty plays a morning show personality named Alex Levy. Her show is like Good Morning America or Today. And she feels the pressure of being over 40.

New project: Aniston talked to the newspaper to support her first TV show in 15 years, The Morning Show, which will debut on Apple+ on November 1. Seen with Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon in March

Being cast on TV again was a long process. She told HBO executive Michael Ellenberg, that she might put a toe in.

‘I said to him, “I just want to be a part of something great, I don’t care where it lands,”‘ Aniston recalled. ‘Because God knows, the movies have been great and they’ve been horrible, so you just don’t know.’

Ellenberg said he had a project with Reese Witherspoon that might interest her. Aniston signed on as an executive producer.

Happy she got it: Being cast on TV again was a long process. She told HBO executive Michael Ellenberg, that she might put a toe in. ‘I said to him, “I just want to be a part of something great, I don’t care where it lands,”‘ Aniston recalled

‘We were so psyched,’ said Witherspoon. The Morning Show worked for them because it offered ‘two very, fully fleshed out female leads in one project.’

Apple+ was interested.

‘I just felt like this was exactly what we were looking for,’ said Eddy Cue, a senior vice president at Apple overseeing the new service

Friend or foe? Reese’s character is the younger anchor who may either take Aniston’s job or befriend her

Then the MeToo movement happened and the show was rewritten.

Next it became about her co-host (played by Steve Carell) getting fired for bad behavior in his dressing room. What he did is not revealed.

Reese’s character is the younger anchor who may either take Aniston’s job or befriend her.

Aniston – who worked with Witherspoon on Friends – also said the role pushed her to say certain things she has never said on camera before, like how she yells at her daughter that she almost broke her ‘f***ing vagina’ giving birth to her.

At first Jennifer didn’t feel right saying it, then she agreed to.

Tough times for this icon: She looks like she is struggling as she tries to deal with maybe losing her job

‘I’m playing a person who’s a mother. I’ve never shoved anything through my vagina, you know what I mean? So it’s sort of like understanding where it comes from, you know, like tapping into all of the mothers that I know, and understanding how something that hysterical and vulnerable and raw is possible,’ she said.

Aniston also said she can relate to Alex because there are some times she does not want to be in the public eye.

‘There’s a similarity to my life,’ Aniston began. ‘I relate in ways of feeling like, when you don’t want to be seen, and you don’t want to go out of the house, and you want to just scream, and you don’t want to walk on a red carpet. I don’t want to stand behind a podium, I don’t want to have my photograph taken, I want to just cry today. You know?’

Another plug: Also this week, Jen and Reese have taken the cover of Entertainment Weekly. Inside, Aniston says she can relate to her Morning Show character because she too doesn’t always want to face the public. ‘I understand the isolation — not wanting to be seen, not wanting to be public, not wanting to have to go on a red carpet,’ added the star

‘Our mission statement was, Tell strong stories about strong women,’ Aniston said. ‘Flawed, complicated, messy. ‘Cause that wasn’t happening.’

Aniston will next star in First Ladies, where she plays the first lesbian president opposite Tig Notaro.
