Kanye West reportedly pulled out of the Coachella festival scheduled to be held in April after organizers said it wouldn’t be possible to build a giant dome conceived by his set designer John McGuire for his performance.
Billboard reports that the organizers of the festival, who were about to name the rapper as one of the headliners for the event, told him that four months would not be enough time to construct the stage as it would require some major rearrangements, including removal of a large section of portable bathrooms.
West, who last headlined the event in 2011, is reported to have told them that an artist with a creative vision shouldn’t need to be discussing port-a-potties.
Ariana Grande has been confirmed to replace West as one of the headliners of the event, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
