Love Island set to ‘dump SIX contestants in a cruel twist which will leave viewers shell-shocked in the most dramatic episode yet’

Six contestants are set to be dumped on Love Island on Tuesday night in one of the most ‘dramatic’ episodes yet. 

After 12 new islanders were introduced to Casa Amor last week to test the original couples, a series of difficult decisions will see a number of contestants getting the boot. 

Speaking of the process, a source has told The Sun: ‘If they’re not chosen, they get sent home – and at least six of them will be booted from the Island tonight.’

‘Viewers will be completely shell-shocked to see who goes, and it will no doubt have massive repercussions on the rest of the series.

‘It is a cruel twist but that’s life – you’re either in a couple or you’re not,’ it was continued of the twist which will be sure to send shock waves throughout the villa, and at home with fans. 

This comes hot on the heels of reports that Casa Amor will not be be getting villa postcards this year, so the likes of Michael Griffiths and Curtis Pritchard’s straying will not be known to their original partners.  

A source told The Sun: ‘This year, Islanders won’t get a video or a postcard from the other villa – leaving them completely in the dark over who has stayed loyal and who has been cheating.

Shock: It has also been reported that Casa Amor will not be getting villa postcards so Michael Griffiths and Curtis Pritchard’s straying will not be known to their original partners

‘So that means their imaginations will be running wild – nobody will be any the wiser who has had their head turned.

‘Anything can happen in the recoupling. It’s going to be explosive when the villas reunite.’

Meanwhile, a dramatic episode of Love Island on Tuesday night sees Amy Hart confessing her love for ‘half boyfriend’ Curtis but it looks like the blonde is heading for heartbreak.

The original girls and boys have only a few hours left of separation ahead of the most tense recoupling yet at the close of the episode, which will see if the established couples are staying put or risking all for a new romance.

While Amy has had Curtis on her mind during her Casa Amor stay, her dancer beau continues to have major doubts about their romance, sharing a steamy kiss with popular new girl Jourdan on Tuesday.  

Meanwhile in Casa Amor, Amy drops a bombshell of her own and confesses to Molly-Mae that she is, in fact, in love with Curtis.

She says: ‘Before I left the Villa, I had started to have an inkling that I might love Curtis. He’s my absolute favourite person and I thought I loved him before I came away but then I thought, I don’t actually know what love is. Do I just really like him?’

‘How do you know when it crosses over into love? Being here and not being able to contact him, not being able to see him has been so gut wrenching for me. I’m like, this is love, 100 per cent. I never thought it would happen to me.’

Day 2 – Amy and Curtis are coupled up

After entering the villa as a late arrival, Curtis opted to steal Amy away from Anton. The international air hostess didn’t seem disappointed, as she flirted up a storm with the ballroom dancer.

Day 4 – Their first kiss

Amy and Curtis are growing closer by the day, but his romantic chat turns sour after he a botched joke and talk of warm olives. But as the pair head to bed they share their first smooch under the duvet.

Day 8 – Curtis asks Amy to be his ‘half-girlfriend’

As they spend a night in the hideaway, Curtis asks Amy whether she would like to be his ‘half-girlfriend’ and go exclusive. The blonde eagerly accepts.

Day 9 – Amy’s insecurities begin to show

Amy struggles to hide her fury when Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt go exclusive on the same day as her and Curtis. While Curtis is quick to reassure her, he also brands the blonde ‘attention-seeking.’

Day 14 – Curtis and Amy do bits?

A night of duvet action means both Amy and Curtis are cornered about the state of their relationship. While Curtis admits their romance is progressing, Amy is more coy, vowing not to have sex during her time in the villa.

Day 18 – A kiss with Arabella sparks Amy’s fury

In the first real bump for their romance, Curtis shares a kiss with Arabella while blindfolded, and rates the smooch higher than his one with Amy which leaves her fuming.

Day 28 – Curtis’ head is turned

As the girls head to Casa Amor, Curtis vows to stay faithful to Amy. But as he gets to know the pretty newcomers he admits to Tommy his head has been turned and he doesn’t feel a physical attraction to Amy.

Day 29 – Curtis’ doubts grow ahead of the recoupling

After sharing a kiss with Jourdan during a game of beer pong, Curtis admits he’s torn about whether he should stay with Amy. Meanwhile in Casa Amor Amy confesses she is in love with Curtis.  

She continues: ‘He’s my half boyfriend and my best friend rolled into one. I don’t think I’m going to tell him though, I’m happy with my little secret that I know I love him.’ 

Molly is excited for her friend, telling her: ‘The way this has made you feel has probably made him feel the same.’ 

Curtis definitely doesn’t have Amy on his mind back in the main villa though as during a game of beer pong, he’s dared to kiss the person he fancies most – heading straight for Jourdan.

Falling for her: Later in the snug, Curtis seeks advice from best pal Tommy, questioning: ‘How has my head been turned?

In the Beach Hut, Curtis explains: ‘I just need to be true to myself… I’m always thinking about other people. I went in for that kiss with Jourdan to try and give me clarity to see if she is the girl for me or if it’s Amy.’

Later in the snug, Curtis seeks advice from best pal Tommy, questioning: ‘How has my head been turned? I was going to ask Amy to be my girlfriend… I’m in a tricky predicament.’

Tommy tells the dancer that he needs to speak to Jourdan and confess his feelings: ‘Sooner or later you’re going to have to make a decision… If I was in your position, I would go straight to Jourdan and say ‘This is how I feel’ and she needs to tell you how she’s feeling in order for you to move on.’

Seizing Tommy’s advice Curtis and Jourdan, who shared a bed with Danny the night before and has also caught Jordan’s eye, talk about their current situation.

As the pair are sat on the bean bags away from the other Islanders, Curtis admits to Jourdan: ‘I have a good relationship with Amy. I have a good connection with Amy, she’s a lovely young lady, she’s fascinating.’

‘I could see things working with her… But how can somebody go from being in a good relationship to feeling something completely different with somebody else in three days.’

‘Loads of people have walked into the villa, I’ve not even looked at anyone. This is why I don’t know why you have swayed me in a different direction. You are clearly stunning, you seem very clever, you seem like you’ve got a good heart and there clearly is something missing with me and Amy otherwise it wouldn’t have happened.’

Curtis then drops a bombshell as he confesses if the recoupling was happening now, he would pick Jourdan over Amy, admitting: ‘I’m shocked, really shocked. I didn’t think I would be turned. I’m thinking with my gut and my heart now… If a Recoupling was in half an hour, I’d be going off my gut, I’d choose you.’  

Later, Curtis and Tommy chat again about Curtis’ current predicament, with the dancer admitting: ‘I’ve been lying in mine and Amy’s relationship without even realising it. There are things wrong in our relationship. I haven’t been expressing my feelings properly… But there are things wrong with it.’

He goes on: ‘I don’t like how sometimes Amy doesn’t do things. I don’t like the fact that Amy is so negative sometimes when she doesn’t need to be because she is talented, she’s smart. I don’t like these things. The fact that Jourdan has those things straight away has influenced me and changed my mind.’ 

As host Caroline Flack makes her entrance into the main villa for the long-awaited recoupling, Curtis admits: ‘I have never been more nervous or more scared in my entire life.’

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
