Vicki Gunvalson could permanently be “whooping it up” in Mexico.
“I actually was looking at buying into Andale’s and then I thought, ‘Why don’t I open up my own bar down there?’ and I entertained that a little bit,” the “Real Housewives of Orange County” star told Page Six of the “Housewives” beloved watering hole in a recent interview.
But the venture wouldn’t happen any time soon.
“I have to have more time in the day,” the COTO Insurance founder explained. “I’m so busy. If you saw my desk right now you would be like, ‘Oh my God. How are you going to get that all done in a day?’ We’re in open enrollment right now. So my primary focus is getting through that and keeping my clients happy.”
Afterward, Gunvalson, 56, plans to relax with fans in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico during her “Vacation with Vicki” in December.
“My condo is actually right next door to the Hyatt so I go to the Hyatt all the time,” Gunvalson told us. “So it’s really natural for me to have that be the host. I just want to meet people that have been loyal fans for 12 years. Some of them have been 13 years, two years and it’s going to be nice and intimate. It’ll be really fun … and it’ll just be nice and also to get away. I love traveling.”
The “O.G. of the O.C.” has been going to her condo with her parents and children for 40 years, and is even having a family reunion there in the coming months.
“There’s a there’s a lot of history for me in Puerto Vallarta. It’s old Mexico. It’s not Gucci Gucci. It’s cobblestone streets and very romantic and very, very Mexico and it’s beautiful. The food’s incredible. It’s affordable. So that’s that’s why I like it. I come from middle-class America. I’m not very pretentious and I just enjoy going out for dinner — for we can go out for ten bucks Steve and I. It’s great. With cocktails! It’s nice. It’s really affordable. It’s a lot of fun and most people that do end up going to Puerto Vallarta whether I influenced it or not, it’s just like this is a hidden gem. So I’m looking forward to meeting people and just having a nice time.”
But fans may not get a chance to party at Andale’s this time around.
“I’ve got some new bars that I’ve been going to,” Gunvalson said. “We’ll see how it goes … I know all the guys over there [at Andale’s]. I think that I’ve given them too much business. That’s the truth. I’m looking for a new place!”
