Despite being extremely wealthy, India has been labelled ‘unusual’ as one of the few British heiresses to earn their own income.

In 2015 she launched India Hicks Style, an e-commerce business which sells jewellery, accessories, make-up and homeware, with products ranging between £15 to £400 – but announced over the summer that it would be closing down.

India, daughter of the late interior designer, David Hicks, and Lady Pamela Hicks, daughter of the 1st Earl Mountbatten, frequently shares pictures of her porch and pool, as well as the exotic harvested fruits from her grounds.

India has been with long term partner David Flint Wood since the early nineties, and the couple moved to the Caribbean in 1996. She previously revealed they didn’t feel the need to get married, explaining that being two foreigners in distant lands during their travels was more of a bond than marriage, and adding: ‘It wasn’t something I needed to do’

India shared a harvest from her garden recently, writing: ‘David’s homegrown bananas, and then some sugar apples, pineapples, guineps, and asparagus, which don’t go with the Bahamian summer fruit story at all but I shoved them in there regardless’

India’s brave daughter Domino is seen trying out a new toy around the gardens, which she even rolled into the pool in a fun Instagram video. The children are often seen having a fun time on the beach and by the pool
