Lidl is selling a cordless lawn mower for just £150 and it's a bargain

SUMMER is the perfect time for sitting in the garden, but it also means the return of everyone's least favourite chore – mowing the lawn.

The good news is if you're in the market for a new mower, Lidl is selling one as part of its 'Middle of Lidl' promotion for just £149.

It's cordless, so you don't need to worry about running over cables and the batteries should last for approximately an hour after each charge.

It even comes with a "practical mulch insert" so you can use your cuttings as lawn fertiliser.

The collection bag takes 50 litres of cuttings and the width is 43 cm.

Unfortunately, the mower is only available in store, so you will need to think about how to get it home with you.

Because it's a "Middle of Lidl" item, there is limited stock, so you'll need to move fast if you want to get your hands on one.

It's a very good price for mowers of a similar size and power – consumer website Which? says that a similar model will usually cost you at least £200.

But if you have a very small garden, you can get a small mower much more cheaply elsewhere.

For instance, Argos have a 31cm cordless mower for an astonishing £50.

But rather than an hour between charges you'll only get ten minutes, so you might have to charge it up halfway if you have a decent sized lawn.

If you pay £110 at Argos you can get 32 minutes of run time with a 33cm wide mower.

B&Q sell a lawn mower for just £98 but it's only suitable for small gardens.

But Lidl's version will do 500m2 between charges.

Lidl has a whole range of garden products on offer as part of the promotion – all of which are available from today.

For instance, you can get a pressure sprayer for £12.99, a clothes airer for £49.99 or a table and chair set for £69.99.

You can even pick up sprinklers to keep your lawn nice and green for just £5.99 a pop.

There are over 700 stores across the UK and you can find your nearest one and the opening hours here.

Once the lawn is sorted, it's time to start thinking about furniture and Aldi is selling a beautiful garden set for £150 cheaper than John Lewis.

Asda is also getting in on the garden action with a £249 tiki bar that's perfect for summer parties.
