Guests were forced to run for cover this morning as strong winds battered Windsor Castle ahead of the royal wedding.

A-listers including Naomi Campbell and Demi Moore poured into St. George’s Chapel to watch Princess Eugenie tie the knot with Jack Brooksbank.

Cameras captured the moment Robbie Williams – whose daughter is a bridesmaid today – watched on as mother-in-law Gwen Field’s hat flew off in strong winds.

Gwen is the mother of Robbie’s wife Ayda field, a close friend of the couple, and the trio were in excellent spirits as the arrived at the chapel to watch six-year old Theodora play bridesmaid.

Princess Eugenie and her groom Jack Brooksbank know the Williams family very well, and reportedly the young Royal views Robbie Williams as ‘the brother she never had’.

Princess Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson knows Robbie and Ayda very well, having first met back in 2011 on the yacht of the Phones 4 U millionaire John Caudwell.

The Duchess of York and Ayda reportedly bonded during a shopping day in St Barts, and Robbie returned from the holiday saying he had ‘made a friend for life’, and the feeling was reciprocated by Fergie.

The group got on well enough for the Williams clan to invite Fergie and her daughters to their house in Los Angeles, and by May of 2011 the family was on close enough terms with the Royals to watch the Eurovision Song Contest at Robbie’s house in Wiltshire.

Robbie and Ayda knew Eugenie well enough to have been invited to her graduation party the following year and in 2013, she and Brooksbank were spotted watching one of Robbie’s concerts from the wings of the stage.

A royal faux pas? Ayda, left, opted for a cream skirt suit today, and Sarah Allard, editorat hitched.co.uk, commented: ‘Ayda Field risks serious wedding faux pas with her off-white dress’

A rundown of how Princess Eugenie and her partner Jack’s wedding on Friday 12th October will unfold, following the 11am ceremony at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle

Given the fact that Teddy was born in 2012, it’s highly likely that she and Princess Eugenie would have seen each other frequently over the last six years, and thus explains how Robbie’s daughter ended up as one of Eugenie’s bridesmaids.

Ayda opted for a cream skirt suit today, and Sarah Allard, editorat hitched.co.uk, commented: ‘Ayda Field risks serious wedding faux pas with her off-white dress choice.

‘Wearing white or any shade of white to a wedding is commonly considered a huge no-no – even more so for a royal wedding.

‘Ayda Field’s decision to wear an off-white dress and jacket to accompany husband Robbie Willams to the wedding might raise a few eyebrows from the royal family within the ceremony and from the other guests in attendance.’
