Barcelona want to sign Neymar on LOAN as monster debts mean they can’t pay transfer fee for PSG superstar – The Sun

THE Neymar transfer saga could be nearing an end as Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain consider a loan agreement, according to reports.

With the Ligue 1 champions fed up of the Brazilian's attitude, and their La Liga counterparts struggling to afford his massive fee, they may decide to meet in the middle.

On Thursday's front page of Spanish newspaper Sport, four options are outlined to break the deadlock.

PSG reportedly consider the situation irreversible and are ready to hear out Barca's offer of a loan deal.

That may or may not include a compulsory purchase option, to be paid next summer.

Also still on the table is a player exchange proposal, featuring a couple of Barcelona men plus cash or a trio of stars.

Namely, PSG would be open to Ivan Rakitic, Philippe Coutinho and Samuel Umtiti coming to Parc des Princes in a straight swap for Neymar.

Already this summer, the Catalans have splashed out £108million on Antoine Griezmann as well as £65m on Frenkie de Jong, £10m on young defender Emerson and £31m on Valencia keeper Neto – although Jasper Cilessen headed in the opposite direction for a similar fee.

Those numbers combine with a massive wage bill to create a worrying picture of the club's finances.

It is thought Barca are in a whopping £800m worth of debt with the imminent Camp Nou redevelopment costing at least £538m.

Neymar showed up for PSG pre-season training earlier this week despite his demands to leave.

Along with Barcelona, European giants Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all destinations the winger is taking into account.

However, the Red Devils lack of Champions League football could prove fatal to their hopes of pulling off the mega deal.
