CM Punk return announced as WWE legend signs up to Cage Fury Fighting Championships to be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass

According to MMA Junkie, the 40-year-old has been earmarked for a spot in the commentators box at CFFC 71 on December 14.

After leaving the WWE, he began a mixed martial arts career in 2014.

Anyone with a UFC Fight Pass will be able to watch the event, which will be broadcast from the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

CM Punk — also known as Phillip Jack Brooks — made his WWE debut in 1999 and is still signed up to fight in UFC, if he should want to.

The Chicago brawler said: "I can’t wait for this opportunity to call the CFFC fights on UFC Fight Pass.

"CFFC has a long history of putting on exciting fights featuring some of the sport’s up-and-coming athletes.

"This card is going to be a lot of fun, and I’m really excited to have the chance to be a part of it."

CM Punk last fought in the octagon in June when he lost to Mike Jackson in a unanimous decision in his hometown of Chicago.

That came nearly two years after his debut in Cleveland, where he lost to Mickey Gall thanks to a rear naked choke.
