The signing of Ritchie-Hosler comes nearly two years after Rangers appointed former City youth chief Mark Allen as the club’s director of football.
Rangers are next in action on Wednesday against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup while City travel to Schalke on the same day in the Champions League.
