Thursday's racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets at Ayr

With the jumps still to kick into full action, we stay on the level for today's picks at juicy odds.

2.05 Ayr – Essenaitch

David Evan's rain dance has done the trick and Essenaitch finally gets the mud he needs.

He's been well beaten on his last five starts, but I have a feeling Evans won't be scratching his head too hard after these efforts.

They were over shorter trips, quick ground and on the all weather. This boy just needs some cut in the ground and a decent trip.

He cruised to a win at Chepstow on soft ground over this trip for his last win. He races today off the same mark.

2.35 Ayr – Star Cracker

Jim Goldie has had a terrific year and Star Cracker looks well placed to strike here.

He looks on a generous mark and has tasted success over this course and distance previously.

He was second in a better heat last time out and gets 3lb claimer Jamie Gormley in the saddle today.

This race shouldn't take much winning and Star Cracker should be right in the mix.
