Toby Alderweireld has fuelled speculation over a Tottenham exit by admitting he is "not thinking" about signing a new deal in north London.
The Belgian was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer as Jose Mourinho looked to take a new centre-half to Old Trafford.
But Spurs managed to hold on to Alderweireld who is out of contract at the end of the season.
However, they have the option of triggering a 12-month extension which would make him available for just £25million for a two-week period during the summer transfer window.
United baulked at Spurs’ £65million valuation and there had been speculation the 29-year-old would pen fresh terms after an impressive start to the season.
But he insists an extension is not in his thoughts.
"Honestly, I’m not thinking about it at the moment," he said. "I feel good and I’m playing so I’m happy. We’ll see what happens."
