A pensioner has been crushed by a hoarding outside an H&M store today.
The woman, believed to be in her 70s, had been walking down King Street in Hammersmith when she was injured at around 10.30am.
The large hoarding fell from the west London store which is currently under refurbishment.
She is in ‘a major trauma centre’ for treatment, suggesting she is badly injured.
Bypassers and construction workers rushed to the elderly woman’s aid before she was taken to hospital.

An witness said: ‘All of a sudden we just heard this loud bang. Everyone was desperately trying to get the hoarding off her.She was just laying on the pavement and looked unconscious.’
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called at 10:38am today to King Street, Hammersmith to reports of an incident.
‘We sent an ambulance crew to the scene. We treated a woman at the scene and took her as a priority to a major trauma centre.’
