It’s hard to believe that it took until 2018 for Jennifer Lopez to get her own makeup line. Jennifer Lopez for Inglot Cosmetics, the very first makeup line by JLO, officially drops April 26—and it’s massive. We’d expect nothing less than larger-than-life from JLO, but she’s entering the beauty game with an eye-popping 70 products. There are lipsticks in matte and satin finishes, eyeshadows (both loose and pressed), eyelashes, mascara, and multiple highlighters. There are bronzers in every shade you could ever need, as well as multiple nail polishes and lip gloss.
If you’re overwhelmed by the sheer volume of JLO products to choose from when the collection drops tomorrow, fear not. We got our hands on most of the products weeks early, and had the chance to play with them before they go on sale. The most expensive item from the collection, the build-your-own customizable palette, comes in at $49. Everything else retails from $8.50 to $26, which is definitely less expensive than some other celebrity brands like KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics.
The real stars of the collection are the highlighters, eyeshadows, and the mascara. The powder pigments across the entire line are next-level: pigmented, soft, blendable, and long-wearing. They’re exactly what you would expect from Inglot, a brand known internationally for their alignment with pro makeup artists.
If you’re going to buy only one thing from the line—make it three. The Viva Las Lashes mascara is lightweight, buildable, and never-clumpy. A swipe or two will separate, define, and volumize without much drama, but you can add 480 million more coats to get a bold lash look without any clumps. It’s truly an innovation and a formula everyone can love.
Of course, you can’t talk about a JLO makeup line without talking about the glow. The face, body, and eye highlighters, called Livin’ The Highlight, are another must-have from the line. Though a little messy to use, the loose glitter pigment lends the most intense glow we’ve ever seen. Plus, we love that you can use it all over your body—and on your eyes too.
