Danielle Armstrong has thanked fans for their support following the birth of her newborn daughter Orla.

The 32 year old announced she had welcomed her first child with fiancé Tom Edney earlier this week, revealing her name at the same time.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Danielle has now revealed she was worried her fans wouldn't like the moniker she had chosen for her firstborn, but is over the moon that they do.

She took to her Instagram story on Friday afternoon to deliver a message to her 1.3million followers, saying: "Hello my lovelies.

"Oh my God, I finally feel today a little bit more human apart from the boobs are killing, I can't even move."

Looking at her daughter, who sat next to her in a carseat, the blonde beauty continued: "I'm obsessed, I'm literally obsessed, I feel like I've got my real life doll.

"We're just on our way, well Tom's just popped to get something, but we're going to see the midwife because, obviously, home visits was before so it's just me going in and bubba, baby girl Orla.

"I just thought I'd say thank you for all your lovely messages by the way, I'm a little bit overwhelmed, she is miss popular, everyone's like, loving her and everyone loves her name!

She then informed her fans of how lucky she feels to have her fiancé, continuing: "While he's getting some little bits, I thought I'd just do a little shout out to Tom because he's back on Instagram, so funny.

"He used to be on Instagram but he had like five photos, he was so boring on it, never really was on there. But I always think it's a bit odd when boys like a selfie, but just my opinion, anyway, so he's not been like that.

"He was like, 'shall I get Instagram? I kind of want to show her off,' and I was like, 'yes, do it,' so he's back on Instagram, and he has been amazing.
