Ferne McCann, 30, has announced she is desperate to get a boyfriend ahead of potential future lockdown restrictions in her native Essex, which is currently in Tier 2.

The former I’m A Celebrity star spent lockdown on her own, but has said she does not want to do so again. 

Ferne, who split from boyfriend Alfie Gibbs in May, told The Mirror: ‘I am looking for a boyfriend ready to sign a deal tomorrow. I cannot do another lockdown being single.

‘I’m hoping I just hit it off with someone and we get on so well we can join a support bubble. I can move him in, and the rest will be history.’ 

The reality star added that the pandemic has not been kind to those in relationships, saying: ‘The restrictions are killing off people’s love lives. It’s terrible.’      

Essex is currently under Tier 2 right restrictions, and Ferne is apparently hooked on celebrity dating app Raya as she searches for her new partner.

The latest revelation around Ferne’s love life comes as she recently told MailOnline that she had vowed to remain celibate until she found The One.    

The star revealed: ‘The longer I don’t have sex, the longer I don’t need it.’

She added that her ‘outlook on sex changed when she hit 30’ and she doesn’t want her next romance to be ‘just a fling.’ 

Ferne, who’s a mum to daughter Sunday, two, said: ‘I feel my whole outlook on sex has definitely changed as I’ve got older and having lockdown and that time on my own really started to bring up different questions in my head. 

‘I want it to be important and be meaningful. Could I do it? Yes. But it’s like a diet; once you tell yourself don’t eat chocolate, all you can think about is chocolate!’

The star confirmed her split from New York-based boyfriend Albie Gibbs in May, after the couple failed to make their transatlantic relationship work during lockdown
