Jenna Dewan (she’s officially dropped the Tatum—at least on Instagram) stepped out for her first public appearance since news of her split from husband Channing Tatum broke.
On Friday night, Dewan was honored as 2018 St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital “Humanitarian Of The Year” during the organization’s fifth annual St. Jude Hope & Heritage Gala in New York City.
Dewan has been a loyal supporter of St. Jude’s for years and works consistently as an advocate for the hospital’s pioneering research and lifesaving treatments. The event marks the first time she’s stepped out publicly since her separation. She wore a black, floral, floor-length gown with a plunging neckline for the occasion and looking stunning as always.

She didn’t attend the event alone though—the dancer brought her father, Darryll Dewan, as her guest for the night. Adorable.
Dewan and Tatum announced their separation/broke hearts around the world in early April with a joint statement posted to Instagram.
