This year’s Met Gala theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, inspired an array of high fashion religious looks.
Among those truly embracing the theme was Katy Perry, who wowed in enormous, feathered six foot high white wings teamed with a Versace gold mini-dress paired with thigh-high gold boots.
However, as show-stopping as the outfit was, it also proved to be a bit of a nuisance.
As the Roar singer made her way onto the red carpet, she ended up whacking her stylist Jamie Mizrahi in the face with one of her wings.
Completely oblivious, Katy carried on navigating her way through the crowd to get to her red carpet spot in order to show off her extravagant look.
The moment, captured on the E! News live stream, had Twitter in hysterics.
"Did anybody else see Katy perry smack that girl with her wing. omg. And she didn’t even say sorry," one fan wrote.
Another asked: "How many people did @katyperry hit with these wings at #MetGala? I’m going with a low estimate of 25."
Katy’s stylist had previously said the star was going to be making a grand entrance.
Jamie told People: "I mean you know Katy, how much she loves dress up and theatrics and kind of a production, so I think that is the joy in that."
