Miley Cyrus reveals her family’s bizarre Christmas traditions – and admits they have ‘fist fights’ while debating conspiracy theories at the dinner table

Miley Cyrus has revealed her family’s Christmas dinners have been known to end in ‘fist fights’.

The pop star, 28, spoke to the Hit Network’s Rohan Edwards on Monday, and gave an inside look into how she celebrates the festive season.

‘All families have a dynamic that is very specific. We all let our mullets down,’ the Can’t Be Tamed singer said.

She explained that her family has a normal level of dysfunction, but this is exacerbated around Christmas when everyone’s together.

‘You’re sitting round a table full of artists that are very opinionated and we love to bring up conspiracy theories at the dinner table which usually end in some sort of debate and everyone being upset,’ she said.

Miley joked that her sister Noah sometimes brings a ‘weapon’ with her in the form of her perilously long nails.

‘Noah, she’s always got a weapon: her nails. I don’t know how she even functions sometimes. The nails and the hair. And you do not touch Noah’s hair,’ she said.

Miley’s siblings include sisters Brandi and Noah, and brothers Trace, Christopher and Braison.

Speaking to British radio host Harriet Rose earlier this month, the Wrecking Ball hitmaker revealed she believes in extraterrestrials.

‘I definitely believe in aliens… aliens are really cool and a lot of things this year haven’t been that cool so I think maybe they’re waiting for 2021,’ she said.

‘They’re looking from above and they’re like, “Ah, I don’t want anything to do with that,”‘ she added.

Miley also shared her plans for a ‘gothic’ Christmas this year, which includes displaying upside-down rosaries and crosses instead of traditional decorations.

She said: ‘I want an all-black tree this year, I want to do a goth Christmas. I think instead of a garland, I’ll do rosaries… upside-down studded crosses and, like, very goth, medieval kind of vibes.’

It comes after Miley opened up about her personal struggles while posing topless for Rolling Stone’s January 2021 issue.

‘A couple of years ago, it looked like I was living some fairytale. It really wasn’t. At that time, my experimentation with drugs and booze and the circle of people around me was not fulfilling or sustainable or ever going to get me to my fullest potential and purpose,’ she said.
