Sailor Brinkley-Cook shows off her dancer’s body as she rehearses for DWTS with injured mom Christie Brinkley on the sidelines

Sailor Cook-Brinkley was seen rehearsing for Dancing With The Stars on Wednesday during a video shared to Instagram.

The budding 21-year-old model showed off her slender frame in a light grey bra top and matching leggings as she practiced with professional partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

And on the sidelines was her mother Christie Brinkley, who wore her bandaged broken arm in a sling.

Sailor seemed to be in great spirits as she balanced herself on the hardwood floor with her toned arms.

The Sports Illustrated model was also seen doing twirls all by herself.

In the corner was partner Val who was busy filming.

She can do it: And she seemed to be adept at nailing the various dance moves

And mom Christie – who is a legend in the modeling world thanks to 30 years of high-profile campaigns – was seen smiling and even at one point dancing a little bit herself.

She also showed off her new blue sling which held her bandaged arm. Last week she landed on her arm during rehearsal and shattered several bonds.

Christie had surgery with rods and plates inserted to repair her wrist.

The fall knocked her out of this season of DWTS but she says she may return for another season down the road.

Sailor was also seen arriving at an LA dance studio for practice with a grin on her face.

The daughter of Christie and architect Peter Cook arrived in a floral print dress for the practice session.

All smiles: Sailor looked happy to be continuing her surprise run on DWTS on Tuesday, when the 21-year-old bikini model arrived at an LA dance studio for practice with a grin on her face

On her feet, the half-sister of Alexa Ray Joel wore a pair of fluffy white sliders.

The blonde bombshell’s wavy tresses fell in glorious waves across Sailor’s bare shoulders.

She traveled light for her arrival, carrying just a handbag and her cellphone, while her eyes were shielded against the summer glare with a pair of cat’s eye shades.

Brinkley-Cook’s dance partner, Val, arrived later clad in head-to-toe black, wearing a hoodie and sweatpants.

Brinkley-Cook stepped in to compete on Dancing With The Stars when her mother Christie Brinkley tripped and broke her arm last week.

And on Monday evening the bikini model made a dazzling debut on the dance competition show.

But the blonde beauty told People that at first she really didn’t want to do the Samba in front of a live audience.

Nerves: The blonde beauty told People that at first she really didn’t want to do the Samba in front of a live audience

‘I didn’t want to at first, honestly,’ Sailor admitted. ‘I was terrified. It was a very scary thing for me. The whole idea of having to be live on stage, be on TV dancing, that’s something I’ve never done before.

‘I was so scared, but that was the reason I had to do it,’ she continues. ‘I had to surpass the fear. I had to be stronger than the things that scare me.’

Her mother, who used to be married to Billy Joel and starred in his Uptown Girl music video, told her to enjoy it.

‘[My mom] told me to have fun with it and to not let fear stop me from doing any of it,’ Sailor adds.

‘I’m doing this mostly for my mom!’ Sailor said during the premiere. ‘I just want to make her happy and make her proud.’

‘She loved doing this, she loves dancing and she loves performing and getting hurt was her worst nightmare,’ she added.

She has the body to model: The star has worked as a bikini model which landed her in Sports Illustrated

So far so good.

On Monday she looked amazing in her mother’s white gown – turns out the ladies are the same size even though they have four decades between them.

She danced the foxtrot to Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl.

‘Sailor is truly one fearless, strong, amazing person who just always impresses me,’ Christie told People.

And her dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy agreed.

‘Obviously it was a very extraordinary situation, but it wouldn’t be Dancing with the Stars without a little excitement,’ Chmerkovskiy, 33, told People. ‘In fifteen seasons I’ve never had an experience like this.’

But he says he is happy he did.

‘I’m glad I was the one that was put in this position. I’m really grateful for the challenge and I’m grateful I got to share it with an awesome person like Sailor.’

Christie is doing fine after surgery on her arm to repair several broken bones. Plates and screws were added in. She was seen on Monday with an ACE bandage on her arm.

But she is sad she could not compete herself.

‘I’m telling you I was having the time of my life,’ she told the site.

‘So it was really, really a crushing, crushing disappointment in every way. Literally, figuratively everything that happened. And one of the worst feelings is to feel like you’re letting anybody down, you know?’

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
