New ink! Ulrika Jonsson has made up for lost time during lockdown by getting four new inkings in one three hour session on Tuesday

Her new designs include a bulldog sitting in a pocket of an apron on her arm – signifying her love of the dog breed and her passion for cooking.

The star also has the words ‘let’s play’ on her stomach, a symbol on her finger and a line drawn on her arm.

Ulrika explained that she was due to get some new tattoos the week the country was locked down in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Now tattoo parlours have started to reopen, the star decided to get caught up, opting for four inkings in one session.

Twin passions: The presenter, 52, updated fans on her mammoth session via Instagram sharing snaps of her designs which included an arm tattoo of a bulldog in an apron pocket to reflect her love of the dog breed and cooking

Both Ulrika and her tattoo artist wore masks throughout with the star sharing a photo with her tattoo artist.

‘Was booked in for more ink the week of Lockdown. Finally, got there today,’ she captioned the photo. ‘4 new pieces. Showing the favourite – you know me, aprons and Bulldogs. Thank you Goldenballs @camerontrnbull for your design.’

‘3 more done and 3 1/2hrs later and I was starving. Roasted tomatoes and orzo. Simples.Thank you @littlelourose for your patience and collab. You’re a star. @blackrabbitcollective.’

In March Ulrika unveiled her collarbone tattoo, paying tribute to her late father – who died of a brain haemorrhage aged 52 – with her ‘pappa’ inking.

She also has a large heart on her back, the phonetic ‘fem-uh-nist’ tattoo on her arm and three crowns on her right ankle.

Ulrika has also spoken out this week on her traumatic experience of date rape when she was 19.

Woman with a message: The TV star displayed her phonetic ‘fem-uh-nist’ tattoo on her arm on Loose Women in May 2019

In an essay for The Sun, the star wrote: ‘I’m now doubtful I would go forward to the police in the circumstances of my date rape’ after new figures from the CPS showed a ‘deeply unsettling’ drop of 52 per cent in rape case prosecutions in the year to the end of March 2019.

‘It goes against every fibre of my feminist being, but looking at these figures, I’m now doubtful I would go forward to the police in the circumstances of my “date rape”,; Ulrika wrote.

‘A message is coming through loud and clear. It’s all about targets. It’s all about successes and meeting targets.’

Ulrika recalled how she was alone in a hotel room with a casual acquaintance when she was raped.

‘When I wrote about this in my autobiography, some were critical that I hadn’t gone to the police. I hadn’t because the notion of date rape did not exist in those days,’ Ulrika says in her new essay.

‘Alone in a hotel room with a man is tantamount to an invitation to sex, right Hindsight, with modern eyes, is a wonderful thing. The reason I refer to this is because I am deeply concerned that we have regressed in our handling of rape and sexual assaults.’
