Brie Bella, female wrestler and star of “Total Divas,” is tough as nails.
But when it comes to motherhood, she struggles with mom guilt like the rest of us.
On a clip for an upcoming episode, Brie goes to a breastfeeding support group. She’s not producing enough milk to keep up with her daughter Birdie’s appetite. So she feels bad supplementing with formula. On top of that, she’s pumping so she can go back to work while still giving Birdie breast milk.
“I’m trying to pump and do all this stuff, but it’s the stress,” she says in the group. “I hate pumping.”
Brie wonders if it’s time to stop breastfeeding but wants only the best for her baby girl. “It’s weird how you constantly feel like you’re failing,” she says.
“Mom guilt is the worst feeling in the world.”
Do what works for you, the women in the group tell her. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution.
And the non-judgmental support from her fellow moms is just what Brie needed.
“These women make me feel like it’s OK if you don’t want to breastfeed anymore or it’s OK to still balance it. To have other women just be like, ‘You do you, it’s all you have to do.’ I haven’t felt that in a while, so it means a lot to me right now.”
