Love Island’sJacques O’Neillhas been at the centre of a bit of drama in recent days in the villa.
The professional rugby league player, 23, found himself in anawkward situation when his heart rate went racing for ex girlfriend Gemma Owen– and hers did the same for him despite him pursuingPaige Thorne.
After the challenge, Paige revealed to the girls that she was upset about Jacques' heart being raised the most byGemma: “I’m not going to lie I kind of did a little bit. Only because you guys have history it’s just like I can’t compete with that," she said.
While we await to see what happens next in the saga between the Love Island singletons, we dive into what life off screen looks like for Jacques.
The former Castleford Tigers player lives in the Midlands and has been spotted sharing updates of his home that he shares with pup Zeus to Instagram.
The living room of his abode is spacious with pale walls, grey flooring and a plush rug in the centre.
Atop that he has a glass coffee table and has artfully placed sofas around the table facing a large flat screen TV.
His kitchen contains white tiles and wooden accents with a dining table featuring silver and blue chairs.
While Jacques lay in the bath he posted a snap showing his pooch’s envy and showed off his incredibly luxurious room.
The classy white tub complements his butterscotch shade tiles while there’s a sleek silver towel rack on one side and a white cabinet on the other which is home to a candle.
Jacques is no stranger to showing off his pup’s antics after he bought him last year and often shows off his naughty side to his followers.
It’s no doubt that the hunk will be missing him while he’s in the villa but there’s been plenty of drama to distract him.
He dated co-starGemma Owenpreviously and during the show heleft fans confusedabout their relationship.
When Jacques decided to pull Paige for a chat while their fellow Islanders were sleeping he admitted that has "never cared" before in his life.
He said: "I didn't want to tell you that I cared" to which a confused Paige asked: "Why?"
Jacques continued: "Because why would I? I've never cared in my life, why do I want to tell people I care now?"
However, following the chat came the heart race challenge and after a disheartened Paige spoke to Jacques about her feelings towards Gemma’s dance, Jacques revealed that him and Gemma's hearts may have raced most for each other due to their previous history.
"Maybe because we've experienced something like that before and it brought like, a flashback. Obviously it would do, if you'd slept with someone you'd get them thoughts."
