Queen Maxima of the Netherlands enjoyed the friendliest of hugs with a well-wisher as she arrived to open a social innovation project in southern Holland today.
The 46-year-old wife of King Willem-Alexander grinned broadly as she moved in for the embrace with the woman, known as Nursemin, just before leaving the Social Lab launch in Hertogenbosch.
The heartwarming moment saw Maxima and the lady, who helps to make designs created by the project, share a chat and tender embrace shortly after the queen had declared the initiative, housed in a former cattle feed factory, open.
The glamorous royal recycled one of her favourite outfits – by top Dutch designer Natan – as she arrived at the project earlier this morning.
