Could Selena Gomez's New Song "Back to You" Hint at Justin Bieber? All Signs Point to Yes

A new season of Thirteen Reasons Why means a new soundtrack, and Selena Gomez has just released her first song for season two. The singer, who’s also one of the Netflix show’s executive producers, debuted “Back to You” on May 10, and fans are already playing it on repeat and wondering if the lyrics are a nod to her on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber. Exhibit A: “You could break my heart in two / But when it heals, it beats for you / I know it’s forward, but it’s true / I wanna hold you when I’m not supposed to / When I’m laying close to someone else.”

Other suggestive lyrics include, “Everybody knows we got unfinished business / And I’d regret it if I didn’t say this isn’t what it could be.” The emotional lyric video features montages of Hannah and Clay that will tug at your heartstrings big time. Selena told producer Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1, “With this song, it’s a very special record. I want it to be a beautiful message in a really complicated way — but really fun.” The song is catchy and cryptic. 13 Reasons Why season two premieres Friday, May 18.

You’re stuck in my head and I can’t get you out of it. #BackToYou
