Britney Spears claims to have shattered world record for 100-meter dash, beating Usain Bolt

While we’re all sitting on our couches during the coronavirus pandemic watching “Tiger King” on Netflix, Britney Spears is putting in work.

The pop star has been running a lot during her stay at home. She’s been running so much that she set a new world record. According to Spears, she recently ran a 5.97 in the 100-meter dash.

Ran my first 5 !!!! Getting over your fear of pushing it in the beginning is key …. once I did that I hit 5 !!!!! Usually I run 6 or 7 …. my first try was 9 …. and now I did it whoop !!!!! 100 meter dash ??‍♀️??? !!!!!

For those unfamiliar with top 100-meter dash times, let’s look at the world records for that event.

As you can now see, the time set by Spears is truly remarkable. Even more incredible is the fact she claims she usually runs a “6 or 7” — which means she’s been breaking the world record over and over again, but has kept it to herself before she eventually hit 5.97. What a truly humble individual.

And Spears not only broke the record, but shattered it. Even if you double her time, it comes out to 11.94, which is near what the women’s best times were in the 1970s. Breaking the 100-meter dash world record by four seconds is simply unheard of.
