NICOLAS PEPE is Manchester United's top target to replace Inter Milan-bound Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.
The Lille winger, 24, has also been linked to Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli this summer.
According to The Times, United are hoping to win the race for the 24-year-old's signature following his incredible spell of form.
Pepe, who is expected to cost £70million, scored 22 times and made 11 assists as Lille finished second in Ligue 1 last season.
But he looks set to continue his career elsewhere after his agent admitted he is open to a Premier League switch.
Lille have confirmed they have "big offers" on the table for the 15-cap Ivory Coast international.
The Ligue 1 club's president Lopez told La Voix du Nord: "In terms of departures and arrivals, if a player leaves, we will go and get what we need.
"For Nico, it is almost done and he could have left last summer.
"It is true that there are big offers and big clubs in for him, so I think [he will leave].
"Aside from that, you never know in football."
United want him to replace Lukaku, but have urged Inter Milan to increase their £54m bid for the striker.
