WWE are expected to confirm the date of the Tyson Fury vs Braun Strowman and Cain Velasquez vs Brock Lesnar mega-fights at a huge Las Vegas press conference.
The wrestling company has made headlines around the globe over recent days with appearances from both the former boxing and UFC heavyweight champions Fury and Velasquez.
Now they have invited media to attend a “major WWE announcement” at the T-Mobile Arena prior to this Friday’s SmackDown Live in Sin City with all four stars due to be in attendance.
WWE chief Triple H will also be at the presser, where it is believed they will confirm the blockbuster clashes will take place at the upcoming Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia on October 31.
Both Fury and Velasquez have made explosive impacts over the past few days inside the squared-circle.
Fury firstly had to be restrained by security after he squared-up to Strowman at ringside while he attended last week’s SmackDown.
He then followed that up by appearing on Monday Night Raw to demand an apology from the Monster Among Men.
However, Strowman was in no mood to say sorry and the two began trading blows before they were eventually separated by a large number of WWE superstars – although Cesaro did feel the wrath of the British boxer’s fist as he was KOed.
Meanwhile Lesnar was confronted with a ghost from his past just moments after capturing the WWE Title from Kofi Kingston on SmackDown.
The Beast had launched a vicious attack on Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick days earlier on Raw.
But as he celebrated his championship win on Friday he was suddenly interrupted by the “Master of the 619” and Velasquez – the man who defeated him in 2010 for the UFC Heavyweight belt.
The former Octagon king, a friend of Mysterio, then sprinted down to the ring to lay a beatdown on Lesnar to gain some revenge on behalf of his pal.
Now both Velasquez and Fury could be set for a bumper payday in the Middle East if WWE’s announcement is what everyone is expecting.
