Jeep, trailer and Harley Davidson MC stolen from driver on U.S. 85.

A driver on U.S. 85 north of Greeley was duped into stopping his vehicle and was then beaten unconscious, his Jeep, a trailer and a motorcycle he was hauling were stolen.

The “strong-armed” robbery happened at about 11 p.m. Thursday, according to the Weld County Sheriff’s Office. The victim, a Weld County resident, was driving a gray 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with Colorado license plate BRE-342.

He was towing a U-Haul motorcycle trailer with Virginia license plate 325-7ZP, a news release said. The motorcycle is a 2020 black Harley Davidson Softail Custom, Colorado plate DNC-422.

Near Weld County Road 66, the driver of a trailing vehicle flashed lights and the victim pulled over thinking there may have been something wrong with the trailer. That’s when he was assaulted, the release said. When the victim awoke, the Jeep, the trailer and the motorcycle, were gone.
