For the past year, hugs have been few and far between. And while I never considered myself to be affectionate in the "Before Times," spending most of my time alone in quarantine has made me realize how much I miss physical touch.
While the COVID-19 vaccine rollout has begun, the pandemic is still here, so it will still be months before spontaneous hugs, high fives, pats on the back, etc. are a part of everyday life.
Right now, wrapping myself in one of Resorè's fluffy bath towels when I get out of the shower is the next best thing. The generous body towel makes me feel warm and safe because it's made with eco-friendly bamboo rayon and plant-based fibers. There are also anti-bacterial textiles like Silverbac and Tencel Lyocell size, which help to prevent body acne and oil without irritating skin.

I don't typically get body acne, so I can't speak on whether the towel's anti-bacterial benefits truly offer prevention, but I do think it's helped minimize the number of ingrown hairs I get on my bikini line (ingrowns can be linked to bacteria) and I can back up the claims that you don't need to wash these towels as often.
I'm going to be real: living in a New York apartment with in-unit laundry is a pipe dream, unless you're on a Real Housewife budget. And I loathe schlepping my laundry to the laundromat — even if I do wash and fold. These towels stay pristine white for a couple weeks. (Three is the longest I've gone, don't judge me.)

The catch is these towels will set you back $99 a piece. The price gave me sticker shock since I've been buying towels in bulk at Target for years. So, why spend so much on a towel? It's soft, like softer than silk pillowcases or that stranger's Pomeranian you pet in the park. And during a time that's made us all hyper-aware of germs, it offers the sense of security that you're not spreading any when you shower.
Trust me, touch this towel and then you'll get it.
The Splurge is our recurring column dedicated to expensive beauty products that are worth it. This week, why we're rebuying Resorè's Body Towel despite the $99 price tag.
