Anthony Joshua's rematch with Oleksandr Usyk could be held in Saudi Arabia with talks on-going for fight venue

ANTHONY JOSHUA'S mouthwatering rematch against Oleksandr Usyk could take place in Saudi Arabia.

The Brit has triggered his rematch option in a bid to win back the WBA, WBO and IBF world titles he had ripped from him by the Ukrainian last September.

And according to Usyk's promoter Alexander Krassyuk, a location and date are already being discussed.

On Saudi Arabia, he told Sky Sports: "This location is under discussion at the moment,

"Late June is also the timing we are considering now.

"Many things will depend on how fast we manage to ink the papers.

"The good thing is that Usyk is already in Europe to start his preparation."

Saudi Arabia was the setting for AJ to avenge his shock loss to Andy Ruiz Jr and claim back his heavyweight titles in December 2019.

It would be Usyk's first time fighting in the Middle East.

Usyk recently confirmed he has left Ukraine to prepare for his rematch with Joshua.

The likes of Otto Wallin and Joe Joyce were hoping for a bout with the former heavyweight champion in the meantime.
