Another sports couple is headed to the altar.

Brewers prospect Garrett Mitchell and Oregon Ducks softball alum Haley Cruse are engaged, the couple announced on Monday.

Mitchell’s proposed happened in Milwaukee over the weekend in an outdoor setting. He got down on one knee near a bench that overlooked a blue body of water.

“From Haley Cruse’s boyfriend to Haley Cruse’s fiancé,” Mitchell wrote on Instagram alongside two photos of the couple kissing and a closeup of Cruse’s diamond engagement ring.

“Can’t wait for forever with you.”

Cruse shared the same photos to her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

“Haley Mitchell has a nice ring to it,” she captioned both posts, adding that Mitchell’s proposal was the “easiest yes I’ve ever said!!!

Here’s to forever with the love of my life.”

Cruse shared a video of the proposal to her TikTok account, which has over 700k followers.

“So yeah, this happened,” she captioned the clip.

“Forever with you is still not enough time!! I love you so much.”

Cruse also shared a video modeling her engagement ring.

Just five days before Mitchell proposed, the pair celebrated Cruse’s birthday together.

Mitchell and Cruse are believed to have started dating at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They began sharing photos together on social media in May 2020 — just a few weeks before Mitchell, who played college baseball for Pac 12 rival UCLA, was drafted 20th overall by the Brewers.
