LIVERPOOL star Diogo Jota has become the top Portuguese goalscorer across Europe’s top five leagues this season.
That’s after his FA Cup winner against Nottingham Forest moved him clear of Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo.
Jota, 25, has been in stunning form for Liverpool since his £40million move from Wolves in 2020.
The versatile forward bagged 13 goals in his debut campaign under Jurgen Klopp.
But Jota is already on 19 strikes this term with two months of football still left to play.
His latest effort was a timely winner in Liverpool’s FA Cup quarter-final tie against Forest.

And Jota has now moved above compatriot Ronaldo in the list of top Portuguese scorers this season.
Ronaldo, 37, had been riding high on 18 after netting a spectacular match-winning hat-trick against Tottenham just over a week ago.
However, he currently trails Jota in the charts by one strike.
And Ronaldo will surely be desperate to consistently hit the target between now and the end of the campaign.

But the veteran is still three clear of the next Portuguese top scorer, RB Leipzig striker Andre Silva.
The 15-goal forward leads Valencia’s Goncalo Guedes, who has 13 in all competitions this term.
And the fifth-highest is Rafael Leao (11), who is chasing the Serie A title with AC Milan.
But Man City’s Bernardo Silva and Man Utd’s Bruno Fernandes aren’t far behind the forwards, with the midfielders on 10 goals and nine goals respectively.
