Former darts walk-on girl Charlotte Wood has revealed the devastating financial impact of the PDC's decision to ban glamour models in 2018.
Wood and her fellow gorgeous walk-on girls saw their income dry up overnight after the sport made the shock decision to do away with them almost five years ago.
A familiar presence alongside the likes of Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen for many years, the decision to axe the beautiful girls came as shock to everyone, not least the models themselves.

"When the darts stopped it was a big part of my working life," Wood exclusively tells Daily Star Sport. "Probably about 80% of my income was from the darts.
"When that stopped I had to find other routes. That was fine because there’s plenty of work out there but it was a shame because Daniella and I loved the job.

"It was a real shame. We were gutted because it literally stopped overnight. It is what it is, we just had to throw ourselves into our other work and we had to get on with it because we didn’t really have a choice.
"Obviously we are self-employed so we’re not under any kind of contract so when that work stops it just stops."
Despite being axed almost five years ago, Wood and walk-on girl pal Daniella Allfree remain extremely popular with darts fans who still recognise them from their days on Sky Sports.
They remain a part of the vibrant darts scene thanks to the exhibition events which take place up and down the country, even if it's not quite the same as the glory days with the PDC.
"Fortunately, we’ve still got the darts exhibitions, which we still do," the blonde beauty continues. "We get quite a lot of bookings for those, which is great because we get to catch up with the players and the fans and stuff.
"Of course, it’s not the same as the main events but it’s nice to be included a little bit in that way."
Wood, who is also a model, still gets fans and players coming up to her asking whether the walk-on girls will be back on their screens any time soon. But unfortunately, she can only ever give one answer.
"The fans say it straight away when they see us," she says, smiling. "It’s been five years now and bless them they’re still saying it. It is lovely, but it’s hard. It’s not going to come back. I’m 35 next year so I probably wouldn’t be doing them now anyway, they’d be using girls who are a bit younger!"
