DAVID MOYES has appointed Mick Doherty as the new chief scout at Sunderland.
Doherty left his job as Chelsea’s international senior scout in July and has now joined up again with the man he worked with at Everton.
Seamus Coleman was one of the players Doherty uncovered during his time working at Goodison Park.
And he wasted no time in starting his new role as he travelled to Ewood Park on Saturday to watch Norwich City beat Blackburn 4-1.
In addition to adding to his backroom team, Moyes is desperate to add to his playing squad at the Stadium of Light.
