MANCHESTER UNITED have driven their former stars ballistic once again with their latest Liverpool drubbing.

Ralf Rangnick's side were battered 4-0 at Anfield, with the likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz allowed to run riot.

The Red Devils' limp, lifeless performance was just the latest in what's become a long line of them.

And their former stars of yesteryear now sitting in TV studios have had enough.

Here, SunSport rounds up all the fallout from yet another embarrassing night for the 20-time league champions.

United's former skipper is no stranger to calling out their current crop, having blasted them on a number of occasions over the last few years.

The Irishman did not hold back last night, insisting that players should be "ashamed" of their efforts – and that many have already checked out.

Appearing on Sky Sports, he said: "They've already left the building, they're gone, particularly the lads whose contracts are up, they've already left, you can tell with their performances.

"You see it at Everton even the manager, the staff, they're on their holidays they've switched off.

"We come here tonight to Anfield, what do you think's going to happen? They don't turn up. They lose 4-0 and shake hands and then give interviews afterwards – it's soundbites.

"You should be ashamed of your life. They should be hiding."

Keane, who won seven Prem titles, four FA Cups and a Champions League with United, added: "It's not the club I played for. It's chalk and cheese. No fight or playing for pride."

GARY NEVILLE

Former United stalwart Neville believes that the club's problems extend way beyond what's happening on the pitch.

After ex-Liverpool great Graeme Souness claimed that the Red Devils' issues aren't the Glazers' fault, Neville fumed on Sky Sports: "Graeme seriously.

"No owners of any good business in the world where the core activities of the business is failing and the cash reserves are being drained over the last three years through Covid, can you continue to take money out of a business.

"No shareholders, directors and owners of a good business, when the business is failing at it's core activity, the cash reserves are being drained, there is investment required in hundreds of millions invested into the stadium and training ground and continue to take money out of the business. They can't do it.

"Fundamentally the club is broken on and off the pitch. The stadium is falling apart, the training ground is falling back to second rate compared to other grounds.

"The owners are taking £25m out a year when the club need investment."

In terms of matters on the pitch Neville was similarly scathing – adding: "I've been watching Man United for 42 years and this is as bad as it gets honestly.

"[I] watched them through the 80s. I've never seen a group have a lack of appetite to play during my time watching the club."

PAUL SCHOLES

Appearing on Premier League Productions, Scholesy labelled watching his old team as a "disgusting" experience.

The 47-year-old has never been shy in calling out a lack of effort or attacking intent from his old side.

And he was as scathing as ever last night.

He said: "I’ve lost a little bit of anger towards it now, I feel saddened, it’s not great to watch.

"I’d like to see them give at least a little bit of effort, it looks like the last place they want to be.

"They want their season over, they want it done, they want to move on, but unfortunately there’s no hiding place. You can’t come to Anfield and be like that.

"Them fans have travelled a long way, it’s disgusting to watch. But that’s where the club are at the minute.

"They’ve got to give a little bit of effort, just for them fans coming to the ground."

RIO FERDINAND

United's brilliant ex-defender is normally first to pick apart his old side whenever they appear on BT Sport.

But with last night's game broadcast by Sky, Ferdinand found himself RELIEVED that he didn't have to work on it.

Taking to Twitter while watching the game, the 43-year-old expressed sympathy towards his old pals.

He wrote: "Feel sorry for @GNev2 & Keano having to work on this one… 🤯🤬"

After Liverpool's first goal came within the opening five minutes, he tweeted: "So easy…. Ffs."

So frustrated was he after the game, that he added: "TV Off… Twitter Notifications Off… Laters 👋"
