EMRE CAN'S jaw-dropping overhead kick for Liverpool is a sure-fire contender for goal of the season.
But before it can claim that – is it worthy of being deemed even the best bicycle kick of this campaign?
Arsenal's Olivier Giroud, West Ham's Andy Carroll and Manchester United's Henrikh Mkhitaryan all scored similar acrobatic efforts this year.
Watch all the goals below then vote for the best in our poll at the bottom.
Emre Can – Liverpool
Talk about winning in style.
Hailed by Kop legend Jamie Carragher as one of the great Liverpool goals, the German stunned Vicarage Road with a screamer last night in the 1-0 victory.
And it sounded like Can himself could hardly believe he had pulled it off.
Can said: "I have never scored a goal like that – maybe when I was younger.
"I saw the space, ran in behind and my first thought was that I wanted to head it, then I didn't think too much!"
It was even enough to leave stunned Watford fans picking their mouths up off the floor.
Olivier Giroud – Arsenal
The Gunners striker was rightly proud of his mesmerising "scorpion" kick against Crystal Palace back in January.
So much so he said it would "leave a mark on history".
Giroud's instincts took over when he met Alexis Sanchez's cross with a backheeled volley that flew over his head and past a helpless Wayne Hennessy.
The Frenchman said: "I think it is the best goal I have ever scored."
It still wasn't good enough for goal of the month, though. That award went to…
Andy Carroll – West Ham
You have to feel for Palace at this point.
Barely two weeks after Giroud's magic, the Hammers striker came up with some of his own.
Slaven Bilic's side were already 1-0 up when Carroll stole all the headlines.
Michail Antonio sent in a deep cross towards the hitman, more known for his heading ability than flair for the dramatic.
But it was slightly behind the England striker, who compensated brilliantly to smash it in with his left foot.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Manchester United
This could be the moment that started it all.
Playing Sunderland on Boxing Day, the tricky Armenian found some space in the Black Cats' box.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic had the ball out on the right and sent in a dipping cross.
But Mkhitaryan had gone a pace too far in his run so had to compensate with his audacious backheel.
It paid off brilliantly, flying past Jordan Pickford and being awarded goal of the month for December in the process.
