FRENKIE DE JONG has taken a clear swipe at Barcelona after "liking" an Instagram post that openly criticised the club.
Barca have agreed a deal worth an overall £72million to sell De Jong to Manchester United.
While the Red Devils are convinced the midfielder is committed to a move to Old Trafford, reports in Spain claim he desperate to stay at Barcelona.
But De Jong's recent social media activity suggests he is frustrated with the way Barca are handling the ongoing saga.
He "liked" a post on Instagram that said: "I dislike the way we have handled Frenkie's situation."
The Dutchman wants £24million from Barca having taken a reduction in wages during the pandemic on the understanding that the shortfall would be paid later.

The Spaniards want United to pay the money, but Old Trafford chiefs are refusing.
Barca are refusing to pay him the money he is owed, while splashing out close to £100m on Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, and also signing Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen on free transfers.
And De Jong himself appears to be growing increasingly frustrated by the situation.
The transfer saga of the summer has been ongoing for weeks, and it is destined to rumble on for even longer.

Recent reports suggest boss Erik ten Hag is so keen to get a deal done, he is willing to wait until the last DAY of the transfer window to sign De Jong.
De Jong has been named in Barcelona's travelling squad for their pre-season tour to the USA, despite the uncertainty regarding his future.
He is now set to spend the next two weeks across the pond, while ruthless Barca left those surplus to requirements, such as Samuel Umtiti, behind in Spain.
