COLD STARE (1.55 Haydock)
Is 2lb lower than his last win and returned to form with a good run at Thirsk. He has won twice here and likes to get his toe in.
THE LIR JET (3.35 Haydock)
Has a touch of class, won’t mind the ground and is back over his best trip.
Templegate has a pick in every race on Saturday.
GOODWOOD
1.05 Maiden’s Green – plenty of speed in pedigree and those with form don’t make much appeal
1.40 Hochfeld (NAP) – very unlucky in Chester Cup and remains in form of his life
2.10 Stormy Antarctic – ‘won’ his side last time at Windsor and small field will suit this horse over rivals
2.50 Tawleed (treble) – impossible not to be impressed with latest win and looks ahead of handicapper
3.25 Hukum – shaped well on comeback and has brilliant chance at the weights
4.00 Asiaaf – looks exactly the type the yard do well with bringing through the ranks in these races
4.35 Chiasma – showed enough on debut to suggest should be up to winning race such as this
HAYDOCK
1.20 Oman – step up in trip brought out more last time and the yard remain in red-hot form
1.55 Lincoln Park – loves the mud and looks well-weighted on previous wins
2.25 Future Investment – was well-backed last time in stronger race and should have come on for that outing
3.00 Raadobarg – been impressive in novice company and handicapper hasn’t gone wild for first step into this company
3.35 Mujbar (NB) – return to softer conditions look a huge plus for this unexposed type
4.10 Liberty Beach – admirable and consistent sprinter who is a regular at this level and higher
4.45 Cloudy Dawn – beat nothing last time but handicapper has given a big chance too and will handle conditions
NEWMARKET
1.25 Superior Force – yard going great guns with juveniles and this horse should kick on from debut win
2.00 Ishvara – back in preferred conditions and on handy weight again
2.35 Law Of One – improving at a rate of knots and could be up to stakes class in near future
3.05 Bilhayl – backed on debut like defeat was out of the question and should be plenty wiser for that outing
3.40 Almighwar – looks well-handicapped and cheekpieces should sharpen him up at the business end of the race
4.15 Baileys Derbyday – narrowly beaten last time and looks a progressive type in this company
4.50 Bugle Major – brings plenty of high-class form to this field and should prove better than a handicapper
YORK
2.05 Ajyaall – looks a horse on the up and the yard do well in races here
2.40 Believe In Love – should improve again this season and won’t mind the rain that falls
3.15 Wise Eagle – still looks very well-handicapped on the Flat and testing conditions may even bring out more
3.50 Makanah – has had pipe opener and might just outclass the majority of these
4.20 Shaladar – showed enough on debut and the extra furlong gets a big thumbs-up
4.55 Sunset Bay – still a maiden but can progress now in handicaps
5.25 Harbour Vision – top amateur booked and not miles above last winning mark
STRATFORD
5.40 Restandbethankful – should be plenty good enough to defy penalty in this
6.10 Go Steady – got act together last time and this race looks no tougher
6.40 Hooper – rising through the ranks now and gets plenty of weight from main rivals
7.10 Duke Of Navan – this veteran might have one more day in him with the handicapper giving big chance
7.40 San Agustin – out quickly under a penalty and looks very well-placed
8.10 Onefortheroadtom – back to last winning mark and stable coming out of a cold spell
8.40 Ultimate Fame – yard do well in these races and one to watch on debut
LINGFIELD
5.20 Nordic Dash – unexposed and return to all weather looks the right call
5.55 Starfighter – positive jockey booking and up in trip again
6.25 Hot Scoop – plummeted down the weights and big chance in this company with tongue-tie on
6.55 Eve Lodge – drawn fine and showed plenty on debut in better race
7.25 Last Date – ran no race last time but return to previous form gives huge chance
7.55 El Picaro – would not need to be a world-beater to take this
8.25 There’s No Danger – will come on for last effort and drawn well enough
