Liverpool star Sadio Mane's incredible Prem goalscoring record revealed… smashing Man Utd icon Ryan Giggs by 374 games

SADIO MANE broke Manchester United fans' hearts when he scored in Liverpool's 4-0 rout against the Red Devils on Tuesday night.

And now he's heaped even more misery on the United faithful by matching club icon Ryan Giggs' goalscoring record – in 374 games LESS than the Welshman, an Opta analyst has tweeted.

Giggs ran riot for United throughout his career with the former winger snagging 109 goals in 632 games for the Red Devils in the Prem.

But Giggs' record was bashed by Mane who has now matched the former United winger's feat but needed just 258 games for Liverpool in the Prem.

Mane slotted home Liverpool's third goal of the night against Giggs' old club just after he set up up team-mate Mo Salah with a sublime pass to score the Reds' second.

And Salah has also broken a host of records against Manchester United.

The Egyptian winger scored a hat-trick in Liverpool's 5-0 rout over United in November last year, which was the first in the Premier League against the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

It was also the first treble against United on their own ground since Brazil legend Ronaldo in the 2002-03 Champions League.

But Giggs isn't the only Prem legend to see his tally eclipsed by rampant Liverpool pair.

Salah also overtook ex-Chelsea striker Didier Drogba's record of 105 Prem goals to become the league's highest-scoring African player.

And now Drogba sits behind Mane too in the rankings.

Liverpool have also gazumped United's penalty record in the Prem.

The Reds went past United's mark of the most penalties awarded in the Premier League era when they beat Leeds 6-0 in February.

Jurgen Klopp's men were awarded two spot-kicks by referee Michael Oliver at Anfield.

They were the Reds' 170th and 171st in Premier League history.

It took them clear of the 169 that rivals Manchester United have been awarded in the competition's 31-year existence.
