Man City to rival Tottenham for Dusan Vlahovic transfer as Harry Kane move stalls with Guardiola desperate for striker

MANCHESTER CITY are reportedly set to try and hijack Tottenham's pursuit ofFiorentina ace Dusan Vlahovic.

According to Sara Meini, City have joined the race for the 21-year-old striker along with Spurs and Atletico Madrid.

That's if they don't manage to prise their No.1 transfer priority Harry Kane from White Hart Lane.

City boss Pep Guardiola has been chasing Kane all summer.

But negotiations have proven to be difficult with Spurs chief Daniel Levy playing hardball.

Spurs supremo Levy remains determined to keep Kane, 28, according to the Times.

And there are said to have been no recent discussions between City and the North Londoners as a result.

Tottenham's view is said to be that City have left it too late to negotiate a deal for a player Spurs would find almost impossible to replace.

With just 17 days until the transfer deadline, Kane is reportedly expected to accept having to stay in North London for another campaign.

But with the Eithad giants in desperate need of a striker, they'll be forced to look for an alternative to the England superstar.

City's lack of firepower was evident in their 1-0 defeat to the North London side last week.

The Manchester side's search for a new hit-man has got so frantic, they're even considering bringing in Britain's tallest player Kyle Hudlin from the National League.

It was reported that last week Guardiola sent scouts to watch the six foot, nine inches Solihull Moors striker in action against Notts County.
