Man Utd ‘set to try and convince Pogba to stay with bumper new deal’ despite Madrid interest – The Sun

PAUL POGBA is reportedly set to be offered an improved contract to convince him to stay at Manchester United.

The French World Cup winner looked destined to leave Old Trafford over the summer after revealing he wanted a new challenge.

That resulted in interest from Real Madrid, with the 26-year-old believed to be intent on linking up with Zinedine Zidane’s Galacticos.

However, no bid arrived and with the transfer window now shut, the Red Devils are keen to tie the star down to a new deal.

He enters the final year of his contract at the end of the season, although United do retain an option of an additional 12-months.
