    Morning, United fans

Sheikh Jassim is launching an eleventh-hour bid to buy United.

And Harry Kane and Neymar, plus Kim Min-jae, top the transfer gossip.

The Qatari sheikh remains eager to take over the Red Devils fully, despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos being the preferred bidder for a majority share.

If Ratcliffe succeeds, it would enable the current owners the Glazers to remain as minority shareholders.

And if Sheikh Jassim wins, PSG's Brazil legend Neymar is said to remain a serious target.

Meanwhile, it's claimed the representatives of fellow striker Kane have met PSG over a possible summer transfer.

The Tottenham striker and England skipper is United's dream target.

But PSG appear to have nipped ahead of the Red Devils and Bayern Munich by taking the first major step in the race.

Spurs, however, still believe they can persuade the 29-year-old to stay.

In contrast, Napoli centre-back Kim is said to prefer a switch to Old Trafford rather than PSG or Liverpool.

Finally, the Red Devils are preparing for Saturday's clash at Bournemouth without Marcel Sabitzer.

The loan midfielder has been ruled out for the season with a knee injury.

'Embarrassing' if Utd miss top four

United's season will end in "embarrassment" if they miss out on the top four – and it would hurt Erik ten Hag more than people realise.

That's the verdict of ex-Old Trafford defender Paul Parker as Liverpool bid to snatch the final Champions League spot from the Red Devils.

Parker told  indiabetting: “I think it would be a major disappointment for the club to miss out on the top four.

"But I think it will affect Erik ten Hag even more if he is anything that I suspect that he is."

However, the former England star claimed the Dutch boss has "definitely overachieved" in his first season in charge.

Parker added: "Everything that he can do now is to hope, actually – hope that the players he can count on will perform in the next games, and here I’m talking about Casemiro, Eriksen and Lindelof.

“Maybe he needs to get some younger players into the team because they are hungry and want to win something despite their lack of experience."

Napoli 'identify ex-Gunner as Kim replacement'

Napoli have reportedly identified former Arsenal centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos as Kim Min-jae's replacement.

Manchester United are strong favourites to land Kim, with Liverpool and PSG outsiders in the race for the South Korean.

And LondonWorld suggest Stuttgart star Mavropanos is already on Napoli's radar as a successor to Kim.

For now, though, the 25-year-old Greek is just trying to stop his club dropping to the German second tier.

Orban shines as Utd scouts watch

Manchester United scouts have reportedly been sent to watch KAA Gent prodigy Gift Orban.

The Nigerian striker has been brilliant this season, as he has bagged 19 goals in 19 games this season.

His impressive record of a goal every game includes nine goals in 10 Belgian league games.

The 20-year-old’s prolific nature has seen him start to gather interest from clubs all over Europe.

Man United are leading the chase, with the club looking to bolster their attacking options this summer.

The Red Devils’ top two targets are Tottenham record scorer Harry Kane and Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

However, the club would also like to sign a younger striker that can learn and grow into the role.

And according to Nieuwsblad, United scouts were in the stands to watch Orban’s most recent match.

He helped Gent to a stunning 4-0 victory over Cercle Brugge by netting a hat-trick.

Orban’s first two goals were typical of a poacher, but his third was the best of the lot. The pacy forward latched onto a long ball and lobbed the goalkeeper with his first-time shot.

    'Youri still on Utd radar'

Youri Tielemans remains a major Arsenal target, reports tonight claim.

Manchester United and Newcastle also still keen on the Leicester midfielder, according to Calciomercato.

But it's claimed Prem big boys haven't lost their interest in the 26-year-old.

Saha backs United for top four

Louis Saha has backed the Red Devils to qualify for the Champions League next season.

He told OLBG: “Manchester United have a better fixture calendar than Liverpool to secure a place in the top four.

“They have also shown more consistency in their game. It’s either down to the approach that the teams take to their game, or it can be down to bad individual mistakes. That’s what has punished them.

“I believe that Man United deserve that fourth spot. Newcastle also deserve their place and you cannot really take them away from that race. They were really good from the start.

“Liverpool have the mentality to take teams until the end of the season – we have seen it happen before. Nothing is guaranteed in football, so it will be really entertaining to watch and it is nice to see in football that the battle at the top is also the same as the fight on the bottom.”

Sheikh 'back in with late offer'

Sheikh Jassim has launched a last-ditch bid to buy Manchester United, according to reports.

The Qatari remains eager to buy the Red Devils, despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos being selected as preferred bidder.

Ratcliffe's offer would see Ineos purchase a majority stake in United, with the Glazers remaining as minority shareholders.

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, meanwhile, wants to buy the club in its entirety.

According to the Mail, Sheikh Jassim has "significantly" improved his bid.

But it is still said to value United at a lower rate than Ratcliffe's.

Sheikh Jassim's last-ditch offer comes after Avram Glazer was spotted leaving a hotel owned by the takeover hopeful's father.

Pictures published by The Mirror showed Glazer leaving Claridge's.

The hotel is parent company of the Maybourne Hotel Group, owned by Sheikh Jassim's father, Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani.

A huge complication over the five-month selling process, which has seen THREE rounds of bidding, was the growing desire by co-chairmen Joel and Avram Glazer to remain at the club.

Red Devils hunt 'new De Jong'

Manchester United are trying to get ahead of their rivals in the race to sign Norwegian 16-year-old Sverre Nypan this summer.

The Rosenborg midfielder is the hottest prospect in Scandinavian football right now after announcing himself in senior football with a goal last weekend.

United have been tracking the 16-year-old for around a year and had him on their radar before his initial first-team breakthrough at the end of last year.

The Red Devils followed Nypan's progress over the winter months when he played for his country's youth side in a tournament over in Spain.

They have since kept tabs on him and one of their top talent spotters attended Norway's Uefa Under-17 Championship qualifiers against Croatia and Slovenia.

United's leading Scandinavian scout Tommy Moller Nielsen was then in attendance at Rosenborg's home clash with Odds BK in late April the weekend after Nypan had returned to training after a knock.

However, the midfielder — whose press-resistant style has been likened to United target Frenkie de Jong — did not make the matchday squad.

The Old Trafford club are now facing increased competition for Nypan's signature after his goal against Norwegian table-toppers Bodo/Glimt last weekend alerted other top clubs in Germany, Holland and Belgium.

    Kane representatives 'met with PSG'

Harry Kane's representatives have met with PSG to discuss a potential transfer, according to reports.

The striker has been tipped to leave Tottenham this summer with his contract expiring next year.

Manchester United have reportedly made Kane their number one summer transfer target but he is attracting interest across Europe.

PSG are believed to be prioritising a move for a number nine and like the look of Kane after missing out on Robert Lewandowski.

And according to French outlet Foot Mercato they have opened talks with Kane.

Sporting director Luis Campos is believed to have met with the England captain recently to propose a move to the Parc des Princes.

But it could prove difficult to persuade Kane to join with the striker hunting down Alan Shearer's Premier League goal record.

Shearer finished on 260, with Kane now second in the all-time list with 210.

Spurs may also be unwilling to let Kane leave this summer and could demand £100million for the 29-year-old.

Kane said in January that there had “not been much talking” with Spurs over a new contract but he was “sure there will be conversations over the coming months”.

'Ronaldo would have given Gunners title'

Piers Morgan believes Arsenal would have won the Premier League if they had signed Cristiano Ronaldo.

The striker was available on a free transfer after leaving Manchester United in November before he joined Al Nassr.

Ronaldo has scored 12 goals in 13 games for the Saudi Arabian side and Piers has claimed he would have scored the goals to fire the Gunners to the title.

SunSport columnist Piers hit back at a fan who jokingly questioned why he did not name Ronaldo in his Arsenal summer transfer wishlist.

He said: "Mock all you like, but if we’d signed Ronaldo when he left United, until the end of the season – as he was keen to do by the way – we would have won the league.

"He knows how to win major trophies, and how to score goals when it really matters."

Arsenal look set to miss out on Prem glory with Manchester City just one win away from wrapping up the title race. Now Piers is eyeing five players he wants to arrive in the summer.

The list includes Moises Caicedo and Kaoru Mitoma, who both impressed in Brighton's 3-0 win at The Emirates on Sunday.

Piers is also a fan of Napoli pair Kim Min-jae and Victor Osimhen, who has been linked with a £120million move to Manchester United, plus West Ham skipper Declan Rice.

    Nev's hit 'n kiss argument

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has responded to Arsenal fans using a photo of him kissing Paul Scholes as the "too emotional" argument continues.

The former right-back was discussing how the Gunners threw away the title to Manchester City on Sky Sports. Neville listed seven reasons why Arsenal will fail to win the Premier League this season.

He also cited Oleksandr Zinchenko's celebration after a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace, where he beeped his car horn and shouted “come on” while driving past fans, as an example of getting carried away.

Neville claimed: "The over-celebrations against Aston Villa [after the 4-2 win in February].

“You want your leaders in the team, who have been there before to spread composure around the dressing room and calm everybody down. You don't want them to lift the anxiety, lift the emotion.”

Gooners have hit back at Neville with a photo of him smooching team-mate Scholes after he scored a winning goal versus Man City.

Man Utd went on to lose the league in the 2010/11 season to Chelsea after the "over-celebrating" kiss.

But Neville hit back, tweeting with laughing emojis: "Look at them."

He has also said: "I'm filling in the blanks of what was going on behind the scenes. I've seen it before from emotional teams. Some emotions aren't positive ones for a group even if they look it."

Lyon in wait north of the border

Manchester United are making a rare detour into Scotland as part of their summer plans this year.

Erik Ten Hag – whose United side are set to contest the FA Cup final against their Manchester rivals City on June 3 – is bringing his players north to Edinburgh for a glamour friendly in July.

The Red Devils will face French side Lyon in a pre-season friendly on July 19th at Murrayfield.

Former Manchester United star Wes Brown and current Scotland rugby star Hamish Watson have been speaking to publicise the event.

Scotland are represented in the current Old Trafford first team by Scott McTominay.

And United have a massive Scottish connection through legendary figures like Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson.

Current United technical director Darren Fletcher was born and raised in Dalkeith near Edinburgh.

They'll take on a Lyon side who are coming off a difficult season in Ligue 1 but are still packed with stars.

They are captained by former Arsenal star Alexander Lacazette, with French World Cup winner Corentin Tolisso and veteran German star Jerome Boateng just two other stars in their squad.

    United should keep jae talking

Manchester United are right to pursue Kim Min-jae, club legend Dimitar Berbatov believes.

The Red Devils are reportedly in talks over signing Napoli's £50million-rated centre-back.

And ex-striker Berbatov told Betfred: "There’s still the chance for Kim to improve and he has the mental strength and quality to play in one of the best teams in the world.

"In my opinion, he deserves all the attention he’s getting from the world’s biggest clubs.

"Napoli bought him to replace Kalidou Koulibaly and I don’t believe anybody expected him to perform the way he has done in Napoli’s title winning season.

"He’s somebody that Manchester United should look at."

Fans fear worst over £100m transfer budget

Manchester United fans are fearing the worst after their summer transfer budget was revealed.

The Red Devils are on course to qualify for the Champions League but it appears that will do little to boost the coffers.

According to The Athletic, Erik ten Hag will be given just £100million to spend.

And considering that is the asking price of one of their main targets, Declan Rice, some fans are concerned.

Ten Hag is also believed to have made Harry Kane his number one summer target, and Tottenham will likely demand in excess of £100m for the striker.

So fans are worried the prospect of a limited budget could affect the quality of United's signings – the club spent £85m on Antony alone last summer.

One supporter wrote: "Well nice knowing you lads."

Another added: "Hahahaha we are finished 😂"

A third said: "Yikes. We ain’t making any signings lol.

And another commented: "We're never getting out of the trenches anytime soon."

    Rooney tipped to boss United

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has tipped Wayne Rooney to manage the club one day.

Rooney is a United legend and moved into management in 2020 when he took charge of Derby.

He narrowly failed to keep the Rams in the Championship after the cash-strapped Rams were given points deductions and he has since moved to the US where he manages DC United.

Wazza has won just seven of his 28 games in charge of the MLS side but they are in play-off contention this season.

And Berbatov believes his former team-mate has what it takes to manage United in the future.

He told Betfred: “Not many players from my time at Manchester United have actually gone into management, but in my opinion, Wayne Rooney would like to be a future Manchester United manager and I’m pretty sure he’s going to be.

"He’s currently paying his dues in club management at the moment, gaining vital experience and getting better and better, so I’m pretty sure he will manage Manchester United one day."

Berbatov also identified another former team-mate as a potential Red Devils manager – Michael Carrick.

The midfielder took over at Middlesbrough earlier this season and propelled Boro up the league to finish fourth in the Championship in what is his first permanent managerial job.

Red Devils and Spurs duel for 'new Erling'

Manchester United and Tottenham are competing for Gift Orban – the Erling Haaland of Belgian football.

The KAA Gent striker has shown sensational form since arriving from Norwegians Stabaek in January, scoring 19 goals in 19 games.

Nigerian Orban’s tally includes three hat-tricks, and five goals in the Europa Conference League.

Labelled the Gift that keeps giving, he has drawn comparisons with Manchester City’s 52-goal superstar Haaland.

And both United and Spurs scouts reportedly watched 20-year-old Orban on Saturday – when he bagged a 16-minute treble in Gent’s 4-0 win at Cercle Bruges.
