Erik ten Hag has a lack of options in midfield with Casemiro suspended, and Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek all injured.

Antony and Anthony Martial are also out of tonight’s match, so it will be intriguing to see the XI that he picks in just over 10 minutes’ time.

You’d think a cross-Pennines clash would be an obvious choice for a TV slot, but not this time.

The original fixture was postponed following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, and the FA Cup replay between Fulham and Sunderland is on TV tonight instead.
