MAURO ICARDI has appeared to signal his marriage is back on track with an emotional Instagram message thanking Wanda Nara for continuing to believe in their family.
The PSG striker, who missed training and a crucial Champions League match last night, also hinted he had received the mum-of-five’s “pardon” following explosive claims he had cheated on her with an Argentine actress and model.
Icardi, said to have flown to Milan on Monday to persuade Wanda to return to their home in Paris following the cheat claims, wrote alongside a photo he posted of them embracing: “Thank you my love for continuing to believe in this beautiful family, thank you for being the motor of our lives.”
Prompting speculation he was making a direct reference to reports he had been messaging Argentine beauty Maria Eugenia Suarez behind his wife’s back, but had won her back in the last 24 hours, he added: “How much pain hurting your loved ones causes! You only heal when you have the forgiveness of those you harm.”
He ended his message with a prayer and applause emojis and indicated the message was for his wife by finishing it with her Instagram address.
Wanda’s bizarre response was to post a photo of Princess Diana, who famously divorced Prince Charles, clutching her famous Gucci ‘tote bag’ as she headed to the gym in shorts and a sweatshirt.
The Instagram exchanges between the couple followed an earlier post by Icardi wishing Wanda a Happy Mother’s Day to coincide with the special day on Sunday in Argentina – and the model and influencer replying with a photo of her hand minus her wedding ring.
Wanda, 34, wrote alongside the selfie snap: “I prefer my hand without a ring on it.”

She did confirm though she was back in Paris after flying to Milan before the media reports of her husband’s alleged intimate conversions with Suarez, better known as la China Suarez, broke.
Argentine media were reporting ahead of Icardi’s ‘Forgive’ Instagram message she was considering returning to her homeland in the next few days to consider her future with the footballer.
Popular Argentine TV gossip show Los Angeles de La Manana yesterday described Wanda's return to Buenos Aires as "imminent.”
The stunning Wag confessed she had “separated” from Icardi at the weekend in a private Instagram message shared by a friend.
Argentine showbiz journalist Ker Weinstein, who is said to be “close” to Wanda, published the message and wrote alongside it: “‘Bomb’. Mauro and Wanda separated. A real shame. I hope they patch things up. There’s a woman who’s the third party in discordance. I’m in shock.”
Earlier Icardi’s wife seemed to accuse her husband of cheating on her by writing on Instagram Stories: “Another family that you have ruined for a s##g” before unfollowing him on social media.
La China Suarez has been widely identified as the “third party in discordance” in Argentine media, however the model herself denies the claims, saying: "I have no idea where all this came from. Whoever it may be. I don't even know them. I myself have just separated."
Explosive messages Icardi and the actress reportedly exchanged on Telegram, published by respected Argentine newspaper Clarin, point to the brunette beauty telling him: “Some day you and me have to go out partying in some part of the world where they don’t know you.”
The footballer, said to have identified Suarez with the initials CS on his phone, reportedly replied: “What for? I’m bored of partying these days.”
Icardi missed PSG's Champions League game with RB Leipzig last night, with manager Mauricio Pochettino saying before the game that his striker "has a personal problem."
