'Most ignorant thing I’ve ever heard' – UFC star Anthony Smith blasts 'stupid' Jake Paul for calling out Khabib in MMA

JAKE PAUL is 'ignorant' and 'stupid' for wanting to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov, blasts UFC star Anthony Smith.

The Problem Child, 25, called out the retired 29-0 superstar last month.

Khabib, 33, laughed off the offer, claiming that Paul has 'to learn a lot'.

Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Smith, 33, was less polite.

He said: "That is the most ignorant thing I’ve ever heard in my whole life.

"(Justin) Gaethje is a Division 1 All-American and Khabib has no problem with getting Gaethje down and just controlling him on the ground.

"Jake Paul doesn’t have enough time on this earth left to bridge a gap between him and Khabib wrestling.

"I have a hard time believing one person can be that stupid."

Having extended his record to 5-0 in boxing last year, Paul has been linked with a move to the cage this year.

Upon hearing this news, Nurmagomedov revealed that the YouTube boxer would be welcome to train at his Eagle FC promotion.

Paul then stoked the flames by replying: "Deal. Only if I fight you first.”

Responding on the Full Send podcast, Khabib said: “Come on, come on Jake Paul, I don't think so. In MMA, a couple of minutes."

He added: "I watch a sparring or some video were he did MMA with someone, he has to learn a lot.

"Boxing, he knows how to punch. His boxing game is not bad, but wrestling is completely different.

“If he wants to fight in MMA, we can give him chance. We can sign him [to Eagle FC] and we can pay him. We'll see.”
