Native Trail is the money-making machine nicknamed 'The Daddy' primed to deliver billionaire owner latest big payday

MEET 'The Daddy' – the latest superstar to come out of the billionaire-backed Godolphin powerhouse.

Native Trail is one of the top sprinters in the world – and the figures back it up.

A clear-cut winner of the Craven at Newmarket on Wednesday, he is now 6-4 favourite to land the 2000 Guineas later this month.

But watching the replay back on TV, it is tough to get a gauge on the sheer speed and ferocity of this equine beast.

Aged three, he weighs a colossal 542kg and can reach a top speed of 40mph.

For context, the heaviest weight legendary strongman and Game Of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson has ever lifted is 501kg.

His big rival and former World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall managed 500kg, but had blood coming out of his ears, eyes and nose afterwards, such was the stress of lifting such a massive weight.

Native Trail propels that giant mass forwards at top speed over straight sprint tracks – earning his owner a fortune in the process.

The Charlie Appleby-trained superstar belongs to Sheikh Mohammed, the billionaire ruler of Dubai.

Native Trail earns his boss a whopping £111,443.20 every time he races.

He is unbeaten in five and will land Sheikh Mohammed £283,550 if he wins the big one at Newmarket on April 30.

Mind you, even if he doesn't then Godolphin's other star Coroebus is second-fav at 7-2 so it looks like the boys in blue will come out on top one way or another.

Not that all the fuss and attention bothers Native Trail.

Before his Craven romp he actually fell asleep in the pre-parade ring and had to be woken up.

One of the Godolphin handlers said that shows just what a dude he is – but that he is 'the daddy' of all their runners.

Don't expect that 6-4 for the Guineas to be around too much longer.
