NEYMAR has announced he may return to former club Santos in an emotional message to his former club's fans.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker was a prominent presence at Vila Belmiro on Thursday for Santos' goalless draw with Audax Italiano.

Neymar is recovering from an ankle injury, having undergone surgery back in March.

He began his meteoric rise to stardom as a gifted teenager at the Brazilian club over a decade ago.

Speaking to reporters after the game, the 31-year-old sent an emotional message to his former side Santos.

He said: “It’s nice to come back to my house.

As he made his way out of the stadium, the star talked up a potential return to representing the Brazilian team.
