Pierre Gasly enjoys dinner with Michael Jordan as NBA legend hilariously wears F1 star's helmet and signs his trainers

PIERRE GASLY got the chance to hang out with NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Gasly, 26, is stateside for the inaugural Miami Grand Prix this weekend.

The pair shared dinner together before trying on the racer's Alpha Tauri helmet.

Gasly shared the images on Instagram, showing 59-year-old Jordan signing a pair of sneakers for the beaming driver.

Earlier this week, Brit legend Lewis Hamilton teed off with NFL hero Tom Brady ahead of Sunday's contest.

The seven-time world champion was joined by Brady in a PR golf event.

A handful of super-yachts that have been craned into place with sparkly blue tinfoil placed around their hulls to make it look like water.

It is a huge event – not so much from a sporting perspective – but from a commercial one, as the sport's owners, Liberty Media, the teams and several sponsors all look to cash in on F1's booming popularity in the United States.

This weekend's maiden race in Miami looks set to renew Max Verstappen's rivalry with Charles Leclerc, who is hoping to win his first ever title this season.

The Dutchman Verstappen won out at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix two weeks ago, as Hamilton finished 13th.

There are set to be around 85,000 spectators in attendance at the race.
