Ramiro Funes Mori hints at Everton exit over lack of game time action for Blues

RAMIRO FUNES MORI has put his Everton future in doubt after admitting he needs more match action for the sake of his international career.

The defender has lost his place to Ashley Williams at Goodison Park this season and has started only two matches.

Argentine international Mori, who scored for his country in Thursday’s 2-2 draw in Peru, only moved to the Premier League side last summer.

Roberto Martinez paid £9.5m to bring him to Merseyside, but after an impressive first season, the 25-year-old has struggled for game time under Ronald Koeman.

And unless it improves, the former River Plate says he may have to look for a move elsewhere.

“Although Paton [Bauza, Argentina manager] gives me great confidence, I need continuity. And to play… at Everton or elsewhere.”
